Sales Assistant - Entry Level

South Chicago Management Group is seeking a full-time Sales Assistant to join our rapidly expanding marketing and advertising team! Local start-ups and national brands alike call on us to launch new products and services, acquire new customers, and help with existing customer retention through our innovative marketing and advertising campaigns.

Responsibilities of the Sales Assistant:

  • Provide excellent customer service to every customer by travelling to retail stores throughout the Calumet City area to promote client services and gather a list of leads.

  • Proactively approach consumers during in-store retail campaigns to educate them about our service packages and recommend services to best suit their needs.

  • Plan and run sales presentations during in-store sales campaigns with the goal of making sales and growing brand awareness.

  • Work with business management to coordinate schedules for all promotional activities.

  • Communicate through sales reports on results and opportunities.


  • Travel to a variety of locations throughout Calumet City.

Qualifications of the Entry Level Sales Assistant:

  • 1-2 years of experience previous experience in a customer focused support role or sales / retail based role is an asset.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Impeccable organizational skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

  • Basic understanding of retail sales, retail marketing, and/or visual merchandising is an asset.

  • Sales skills and the ability to close a sale is recommended.

  • Negotiating skills.

  • Interpersonal skills.

  • Appreciation of a positive & professional business environment.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
