Application Engineer
General Precision Systems (PS) designs and supplies custom, prefabricated, skid-mounted and enclosed systems specific to each customer's needs.
Our primary market is the water/wastewater market.
The PS Application Engineer/Designer will collaborate with the sales team and national representatives to conceptualize a prefabricated system for the water/wastewater, industrial and commercial markets.
Prefabricated systems would include, but not be limited to, potable/non-potable water booster, process water, wastewater collection, flowmetering, water/waste treatment support, chemical feed, standby power.
The AE/Designer will provide design support for the sales and production team.
They will be involved from the initial project RFI/RFQ through product selection and design as well as preparation of contract bid drawings, submittal and production drawings.
As a designer, they will be required to assist in the preparation and understanding of contract plans and specifications for our designs as well as during bid preparation for similar equipment.
The AE/Designer will be required to be experienced with and utilize the AutoCAD collection.
The ability to utiliize or have a good working knowledge of Solidworks and Revit is a plus.
Applicant will be proficient with the Microsoft platforms for document creation, spreadsheets as well as the communication via email and remote conferencing.
Applicant will preferably possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a good understanding of structural and electrical design.
A combination of educational accomplishment in conjunction with work experience in these areas will be considered.
Accuracy, attention to detail and creative thought and organizational skills are key for the successful candidate.
The successful candidate should also be motivated, self-starting, with a positive attitude and willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done.

Manage proposals, sales, and order processing functions related to supplying representatives and engineers with Precision Systems designed products and product information.
Physical DemandsThis position will require the Team Member to move, lift, or carry equipment that weighs up to 50 lbs.
Required to stand, walk and sit; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Must have the ability to walk short distances, and/or drive a vehicle to deliver and pick up materials or equipment.
