Summary:
Performs custodial services, including cleaning and securing school premises, to facilitate the learning process.
Position
Responsibilities:
Exhibits a cheerful and customer-service oriented attitude to all staff and student personnel.
Keeps assigned areas clean and orderly at all times.
Follows cleaning schedules provided, being mindful of quality, efficiency, frequency, and safety.
Notifies immediate supervisor of any facilities issues requiring attention.
In the course of normal duties, inspects facilities to ensure for safety and security by performing such tasks as locking doors and windows after operating hours.
Works in compliance with established safety procedures.
Works additional areas, as required, in the absence of fellow custodians.
Other duties as assigned.
Essential skills and
Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred Physically able to perform the essential functions of the position Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Possesses a basic understanding of the chemicals, work processes, and equipment used in cleaning schedules.
Ability to read and explain basic operating instructions Ability to work as part of a team Ability to operate professional floor cleaning equipment and snow removal equipment Available to work various shifts as required Detail-oriented Valued but not required skills and
Experience:
Experience working in a high school setting Custodial experience preferred Reporting to this position:
